European Universities Games Pick Tellyo for Online Coverage
London, UK, 6th September 2022 – For many people outside of Poland, the City of Lodz is perhaps less well known than more familiar names like Warsaw or Krakow. Lodz, however, is actually Poland’s third largest city and is home to over 660,00 people. It’s also the headquarters of Tellyo’s dedicated development team, who work from a renovated warehouse building in the heart of the city. In addition, this July saw Lodz acting as host city for the 2022 European Universities Games (EUG), an international multi-sport event organized every two years for university athletes by the European University Sports Association (EUSA).
This year’s games included 20 different sports, from Badminton to Water Polo, and events were hosted at a number of different venues around the city, many of which are part of the Lodz University of Technology (an EUG 2022 organiser). To facilitate the online coverage of the games, organisers worked with Tellyo and the Stream Studio cloud production solution to create livestreams, highlights packages and clips. “We have a very talented and motivated team of developers based in Lodz”, notes Tellyo CEO Richard Collins, “and it was great for the team to be able to support this significant sporting event in their home city”.
With 5,000 student athletes participating from over 400 European universities and 40 countries, this year’s games was the largest ever and the organiser’s media team created over 42 hours of live stream content and more than 250 hours of clips and highlights. “We were very pleased to partner with Tellyo for this year’s event”, comments Łukasz Śwituniak, a member of the EUG 2022 Organising Committee’s marketing team. “The Lodz connection made this partnership a very natural one, and our media team thoroughly enjoyed using Stream Studio and Tellyo Pro to produce the content for online audiences. Everyone involved noted how easy both platforms are to use and how quickly packages and clips could be produced then distributed online and to social media. We’re obviously not full-time broadcasters so that speed of adoption and ease of use are both incredibly important. Plus, we got amazing real-time technical support from the team in Lodz who couldn’t have done more to ensure the success of our coverage of the games. We reached even more people online this year compared with our last event in 2018, and that’s a testament to the power of Tellyo – we’ve really boosted our online content strategy this year, and our experience has given us plenty of food for thought for the next event in Debrecen, Hungary, in 2024”.
“Many of our developers actually studied at the Lodz University of Technology”, notes Tellyo COO Jakub Majkowski, “and they feel a very strong connection with the University and the city. We’re actively recruiting and continuing to build our team in Lodz, so our involvement in these games is a great advert for both Tellyo and this remarkable place where we live and work”.

The Latest Version of Tellyo Pro is Available Now
London, UK, 27th July 2022 – Tellyo is today pleased to announce the release of the latest version of Tellyo Pro – live production’s preferred cloud-native solution for video editing, clipping and publishing. This latest release (version 2.33.0 – code name ‘Sound Driving’) sees the addition of two very important features, one relating to the management of multiple audio tracks and the second – an advanced MultiViewer – that enables content producers to monitor multiple channels all from one single interface.
Sounding Good
We know that Tellyo Pro users value the ability to work with multiple audio tracks when creating clips, perhaps for alternative commentaries or different languages, and we’ve supported multiple audio tracks for some time now. However, we recognise that working with multiple audio tracks did previously require some extra configuration steps within Tellyo Pro and so we’ve simplified and improved the user interface to make the whole process of managing multiple audio tracks and simulcasting far more straightforward and intuitive.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/publish-a-clip-in-different-languages-using-tellyo-editor/ and https://app.tellyo.com/guide/simulcast-in-different-languages/
Quality Control
Live production can be both exciting and stressful, and many of our customers regularly produce and stream content across multiple channels at the same time. Stream quality matters, and it’s important to be able to monitor inputs throughout a production. Until now, individual channel monitoring has been done via the Stream Monitor feature and we’re now introducing a new advanced MultiViewer that enables you to monitor stream quality across multiple channels (up to 20 simultaneously) from one single interface. With important features such as threshold alarms, data flows, frame rate and sample rate information, this new interface for monitoring makes it even easier to work with more complex, multi-channel productions.

Tellyo Announces Summer Stream Studio Update
London, UK, 28th June 2022 – Tellyo, the complete cloud production platform, is very pleased to announce the latest version of its flagship Stream Studio solution, which includes a host of quality of life and usability improvements.
Version 1.31.0 – codename ‘Vertical Video Syndrome’ – puts more of the mission critical information you need closer to hand. First up, we’re adding support for multiple aspect ratio outputs – this one’s for you, TikTokers! – and including tally indicators in Playouts and Guests for convenience. We’re also adding call parameter and connection quality information in Guests, making it easier to see guest status at any given time during a production. In addition, we’ve further optimised Sync Group sources, improving stability when there are multiple (10+) guest sources in a production, and we’ve improved the Playout function we introduced just before NAB Show 2022, adding new types of sources and simplifying the user interface. Finally, we’re introducing a fix for audio PTS deltas in the output streams to compensate for the non-linear nature of the system clock on AWS VMs, helping to keep your hardware decoders happy!
Size Me Up
We’re very pleased to include support for multiple aspect ratio outputs in our latest version, giving users a variety of different aspect ratio choices and giving TikTokers everywhere immediate access to 9:16, making content distribution even quicker and easier.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/multiple-master-outputs/
What’s the Tally?
Live production can be dynamic, fluid and sometimes stressful, and it’s important that Producers and Technical Directors have ready access to key information during productions. Our latest version of Stream Studio adds Tally indicators in Playouts and Guests, giving everyone a very immediate and visual reference of who is live on-air at any given time during a production.
Party of Ten
Our customers are increasingly using Stream Studio to add multiple guests and contributors to their productions, and we know that stability is critical in these situations. Having carried out extensive tests in-house, we’ve made some changes to Sync Group sources so you’ll see an impressive improvement in platform stability and smoothness when you’re including ten guests or more.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/guests/
Play it Again
Just before NAB 2022 we introduced our new Playout feature which enables the creation of full 24/7 channels. Many of our customers had been requesting this feature and it has proved to be extremely popular. With this latest release we’re pleased to simplify and refine the Playout menu options.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/playouts/
Timing is Everything
This latest version includes an important bug fix to address the issue of the frame presentation timestamps being taken from ‘realtime’ clock of virtual machines, and potential deviation from actual time. Our fix compensates for this, ensuring that all timings are correct and as per user expectation.
For any more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at feedback@tellyo.com, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on this new release. We always value and appreciate your feedback!
Tellyo Announces Latest Tellyo Pro Enhancements for Improved Efficiency
London, UK, 15th June 2022 – Tellyo, the complete cloud production platform, is very pleased to announce the latest updates to the ever-popular Tellyo Pro video editing, clipping and distribution solution. Version 2.32.0 – code name ‘Pollena Eva’ – sees the addition of a transcoded stream preview to our popular Stream Monitor feature, as well as the doubling of the number of rendering slots within the platform for even greater flexibility. We’re also improving and simplifying the user interface for Destination Management, giving users the option to keep or discard content that is held in watch folders, adding subtitles (when available) to the video preview in folders and also adding a ‘hover to preview’ feature for video thumbnails in lists in the folders section.
Sneak Preview
Tellyo Pro’s Stream Monitor feature has received lots of positive feedback since its introduction, and we’re now pleased to build on this important workflow tool by adding transcoded stream previews. The transcoded video takes less bandwidth and also addresses browser limitations, enabling your web browser to show all of the streams that Tellyo Pro’s video backend supports.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/monitoring-a-stream/
Double Up
In response to feedback from our user community, we’re very pleased to double up the number of rendering slots within Tellyo Pro from two to four (per instance). This will enable more clips to be rendered at any one time and will enable multiple users to produce content more quickly, speeding up workflows and efficiency.
Destination Anywhere
Another significant change is the rebranding of our Account Management menu option to ‘Destination Management’; we’ve also simplified the interface, making all of the destinations visible when entering the view and making the most common control options more readily available to you.
More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/manage-destinations/
Watch Me
We know that users value the ability to bring content into Tellyo Pro from other locations automatically via our watch folders feature. However, we are aware there has been some confusion over what happens to these files once transferred to Tellyo Pro. To remove any ambiguity, we’re introducing flags so you can choose whether copies of the original files remain in their source location after transfer to Tellyo Pro, or are discarded. More info: https://app.tellyo.com/guide/watch-folders/
Subtitle Preview
Another new feature is the addition of subtitles (where available) to the video in preview in folders, giving users a more accurate and comprehensive preview of their content before publication.
Hover to Preview
In common with many other video platforms, we’re also introducing a ‘hover to preview’ feature, so that users can see a short preview of their content when they hover their mouse over a video thumbnail. Again, this helps to remove any uncertainty over the nature of the content in question and acts as a quick ‘sanity check’ for users before publishing or distributing content.

Awesome viewing as Dutch cyclist Beukeboom claims 4th longest distance for UCI Hour Record
Last night, Dutch racer Dion Beukeboom attempted to break the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Hour Record, gunning for Sir Bradley Wiggins’s iconic feat from three years ago.
Chasing the record at the Aguascalientes velodrome in Mexico, Beukeboom recorded 52.757 kilometres, ranking him 4th in distance covered in the illustrious event but still shy of Wiggins’s amazing mark of 54.526 kilometres which was set at London’s Olympic Velodrome in 2015.
Enabling global fans to witness this latest attempt at cycling’s most prestigious record, the UCI live streamed the event to Facebook and the UCI YouTube channel (tv.uci.ch). It also used Tellyo to create and share short clips of key moments to social media throughout Beukeboom’s attempt.
“Tellyo is delighted to have worked with the UCI on such a prestigious event. Through Tellyo, the UCI were able to capture key moments of the attempt, and create and share video edits, GIFs and still images across their social media, helping to engage their audience, share updates on progress and ultimately guide more viewers to the live stream.
“It was compelling viewing and congratulations should go to Beukeboom – it was a superb effort and truly awesome to watch.”
